Wordpress 2.5.1 xmlrpc.php and HTTP 500 errors
Posted on | May 31, 2008 |
UPDATE: Damn. It looks like there’s some signals getting crossed when I enable the Profilactic plug-in. It has a dependency on the SimplePie plugin, which is where I think the error lies. I’m bummed, cause I really like the Prophilactic service, and their Wordpress plugin. Unfortunately, I’m not seeing other mentions of this problem.
Since upgrading to Wordpress 2.5.1, I receive HTTP 500 errors against the xmlrpc.php file whenever I try to post an entry using Windows Live Writer, or ScribeFire. I’ve tried everything I can think of - chmod’ing files, reinstalling WP files, etc. I even found folks having similar errors saying it was because of junk at the end of the xmlrpc.php file. I still get the errors. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I sure would appreciate a comment or an email…
